Need teenage/young adult drama shows similar to One Tree Hill and The Secret Life of the American Teenager?

Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

I know Degrassi, One Tree Hill, TSLOTAT, Skins, and all that… but if you can think of more teenage drama shows. Or even adult drama shows so long as they aren’t old people arguing about marriage and children.

I like them real eventful and dramatic. Favorite was One Tree Hill ’cause for some reason I really got into it. The high school setting was entertaining and I loved all the characters. I loved the friendships and relationships that really… drew me in. lol

Thanks

The best shows I recommend based on what you said are The OC (no longer on but they show re-runs on the soap net or you could get the dvd sets) and Gossip Girl which comes back in March, both are filled with drama and are both addicting! Some others are Greek, Melrose Place (the newer one), and 90210. Some good ones that are no longer on you might like are Gilmore Girls, Wildfire, and 7th Heaven.

When you have extreme anxiety problems, whats the secret to having a relaxed calm composure in public ?

Sunday, February 12th, 2012

im 34 and i suffer with panic attacks and extreme anxiety in public as part of my psychological disorders, one of my other symptoms is extreme aggression.

the immense anxiety comes from an attack in the street i suffered a long time ago due to me going on the ‘ rage rampage’ where i attacked innocent people in the street……..i was attacked myself in that situation…had stitches in my head……this then gave me very bad anxiety, confidence problems.

my aim in public is to be calm, cool, in control and confident…relaxed……but my hyperventilation and anxiety gets in the way? causing me to be very nervous, on edge in public? easily intimidated?

so,as a man of honour i like to be open, honest about the things i struggle with and valiently work on it.

and no funny remarks if you get tempted to write anything stupid, get the courage and email me instead.

serious answers!

thats a great question…and i have yet to find a sure fire way to just stop it. But here is what helps me. First off diversion, think of something that you love to do or are passionate about, something positive "think happy thoughts" and keep doing that untill your anxiety has lessened. Also don’t think about anxiety-thats the main thing but its much easier said than done right. i think its almost scarier not preparing for the anxiety because what if it comes back (in public) then what do you do ya know. You know what would make it go away though is if you didn’t think about it. honestly thats the only thing. Like people with anxiety problems blow it up and make it a huge problem when it’s only a normal emotion but then we worry if its going to pop up again or if we can’t get rid of it and that creates stress and then more anxiety. So-if you can, do not be afraid of it and try diversion..when your mind is occupied by something other than what your feeling notice you don’t have anxiety. So i just think like this, if i don’t worry then it won’t happen. that helped me for a very long time and there is relapses its hard to just stop it’s imprinted in your memory and its so easy to think irrationally.

So i would say try that all day every day and remember you can make it stop anywheree anytime if you dont worry about it, dont worry about thinking about it, don’t react to the feelings and urges you experience from it, just continue your day and ignore it cause it’s only as big as you make it. & that really does work you just have to be a strong person and really want to get over it. Also sometimes i will imagine myself getting splashed with cold water and sand because it lets me feel something else than the pounding heart and stuff like that. I let myself slip a lot since i’m also clinically depressed and it’s not easy to remember all my advice all the time.

That was really long sorry but i just wanted to explain as much as i could, you can get better if i did. I was unable to leave the house for about 5 months and now i can do whatever i want basically. So i hope this helped you and best of luck:)

the secret of Oz

What’s the Movie About?

It is well known in economics academia that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 is loaded with powerful symbols of monetary reform which were the core of the Populist movement and the 1896 and 1900 president bid of Democrat William Jennings Bryan.

The yellow brick road (gold standard), the emerald city of Oz (greenback money), even Dorothy’s silver slippers (changed to ruby slippers for the movie version) were the symbol of Baum’s and Bryan’s belief that adding silver coinage to gold would provide much needed money to a depression-strapped, 1890s America.

We believe Baum’s symbols represent the only solution to relieve the growing economic hardship here in America — and the rest of the world. Practically speaking, 2009 marks the 70th anniversary of the 1939 MGM release of the The Wizard of Oz movie, so interest will be very high. Even Oz websites put up by kids get millions of hits.

Who’s In It?

· Joseph Farah, Founder and CEO of WorldNetDaily.

· Peter Schiff, President of Euro-Pacific Capital, the leading “bear” on Wall Street, author.

· Byron Dale, author and monetary reform expert, author of many books.

· Ellen Brown, author Web of Debt, attorney, and monetary reform expert

· James Robertson, former official in a variety of slots in the UK government, and head of the Inter-Bank Research Organization, author of many books

Intro

“In 1996, in a documentary called “The MoneyMasters”, we asked the question why is America going broke. It wasn’t clear then that we were, but it is today. Now the question is how can we get out of this mess. Foreclosures are everywhere, unemployment is skyrocketing — and this is only the beginning. America’s economy is on a long, slippery slope from here on. The bubble ride of debt has come to an end.

“What can government do? The sad answer is — under the current monetary system — nothing. It’s not going to get better until the root of the problem is understood and addressed. There isn’t enough stimulus money in the entire world to get us out of this hole.

“Why? Debt. The national debt is just like our consumer debt — it’s the interest that’s killing us.

“Though most people don’t realize it the government can’t just issue it’s own money anymore. It used to be that way. The King could just issue stuff called money. Abraham Lincoln did it to win the Civil War.

“No, today, in our crazy money system, the government has to borrow our money into existence and then pay interest on it. That’s why they call it the National Debt. All our money is created out of debt. Politicians who focus on reducing the National Debt as an answer probably don’t know what the National Debt really is. To reduce the National Debt would be to reduce our money — and there’s already too little of that.

“No, you have to go deeper. You have to get at the root of this problem or we’re never going to fix this. The solution isn’t new or radical. America used to do it. Politicians used to fight with big bankers over it. It’s all in our history — now sadly — in the distant past.

“But why can’t we just do it again? Why can’t we just issue our own money, debt free? That, my friends, is the answer. Talk about reform! That’s the only reform that will make a huge difference to everyone’s life — even worldwide.

“The solution is the secret that’s been hidden from us for just over 100 years — ever since the time when author L. Frank Baum wrote “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

The Secret of Oz – Winner, Best Docu of 2010 v.1.09.11

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

www.STILL2012.com. This version finally cuts several bogus quotes which have festered in the monetary reform literature for decades.
The world economy is doomed to spiral downwards until we do 2 things: outlaw government borrowing; 2. outlaw fractional reserve lending. Banks should only be allowed to lend out money they actually have and nations do not have to run up a “National Debt”. Remember: It’s not what backs the money, it’s who controls its quantity.

How do you see am NBA Player get a sprain ankle and 3 days later they are back on the court?

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

Im amazed at over the years how many times I have seen players get really severe ankle sprains and somehow get over it real quick… What are the treatments that the pros at the NBA level do to heal there ankles? I keep hearing that the NBA has secret methods??? HELP?? ANYBODY! I sprained my ankle really bad and I couldnt go to work today cause I cant apply pressure or anything

Yes, they drink lots of pineapple juice, that helps them recover.

Just kidding. There is no "secret method". NBA players recover quickly from injuries because A) They’re highly conditioned athletes, B) They have access to the latest and best reconditioning equipment, and C) They have skilled rehab professionals who monitor their condition 24/7 and are ready to apply any treatment needed.

None of which helps you. Just do what your coach or team trainer tells you, hang in there, and you’ll be playing before you know it.

How will do like the miraculous bra from Victoria’s Secret?

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

I was thinking of buying it because i have small boobs:( (34b) the sign at the store said it turns a’s to c’s and b’s to d’s and c’s to dd’s. So those who bought it do you like it or not?
i ment well my computer is messing things up.

I am a 36b. It doesn’t make me look 2 cup sizes larger at all (at least I don’t think it does), but it certainly gives me a good bit of umph that I don’t get from other bras.

I am happy with the size of my boobs. However, I am not happy with the fact that if I want any sort of cleavage to speak of, I NEED a push up. The Miraculous bra is so far the best bra I have tried when it comes to giving me cleavage.
